AquaResource is once again pleased to offer our Swim School and Water Safety Program to the residents of Ladera Ranch.  The 2009 season marks our tenth year of service here at Ladera Ranch, and we are truly honored to be a part of your community!

Our program features six levels of American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills.  Designed to provide students a positive learning experience, instruction is provided in a logical progression, with a primary objective of teaching students to be safe in, and around the water. Each employee Swim Instructor assigned to Ladera Ranch is certified by the American Red Cross in Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguard Training with First-Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

** No classes held on Memorial Day and Memorial Day weekend. Make up lesson held on Friday 5/29 for weekday session.

HOW TO REGISTER

To ensure your enrollment, registration is provided online through ActiveNet, authorized by AquaResource to process your registration.  To register, you will be required login to ActiveNet or establish an account with ActiveNet.  A non-refundable priority registration fee of (6.50% + .50 cents, or 3.5% + $5.00, or 2.5% + $10.00 depending on the total amount) at registration checkout will apply.   Note that walk-in registration dates may be provided during the Summer months.  For more information regarding registration and program policies, please call our Swim Offices at: (949) 364-5582, or click on the Policies link. The 2009 AquaResource Swim Instruction Program Waiver is required to be signed before the first day of class.  All classes are offered at the Oak Knoll and Flintridge Clubhouse pools.

GROUP LESSON INFORMATION

The following questionnaire has been created to quickly assist parents with deciding which lesson plan is best suited for their child.  Please remember, children may regress during the Winter months, so its best to be conservative.   For a complete description of each class, please refer to our Swim School page.

Level 1 BEGINNER SKILL QUESTION:  Does your child have any swimming experience?  If the answer is no, then register for either of the following group classes, based upon your child's age:

GUPPIES (PRESCHOOL Ages 2.5 - 5.0 years)  Class Time: 25 minutes | Price: (4) lessons $ 65.00 or (8) lessons $130.00     Class Size 1:2

OTTERS (YOUTH Ages 5.0+ years)  Class Time: 30 minutes | Price: (4) lessons $ 60.00 or (8) lessons $120.00                     Class Size 1:4

LEVEL 2 BEGINNER SKILL QUESTION:  Is your child comfortable in the water and can put his/her face in the water for more than a few seconds to retrieve an object?  If the answer is yes, then register for either of the following group classes, based upon your child's age:

LEVEL 4 YOUTH SKILL QUESTION:  Is your child swimming freestyle and backstroke at least the width of the pool? If the answer is yes, then register for the following group class:

LEVEL 5 & 6 YOUTH SKILL QUESTION:  Does your child have an understanding of the four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke , Breaststroke, and Butterfly) and can swim 25yds. of Free, Back, Breast? If the answer is yes, then register for the following stroke refinement and competitive stroke class:
